Michael vick – Support him not bash him

LETTER Greater love has no man than this: He’s willing to lay down his life for the brother. If one suffers, we all suffer. We all have sinned and fallen short. As I think about all the organizations and people calling out to disrespect and do harm in their various ways to our own Michael Vick, I want him to know that he still has people that care for him. Yes, we realize that mistakes were made, but why is this witch hunt to hurt him? I would have thought PETA, FBI and others would have better things to do, but I was wrong. We should help one of our own to overcome these problems instead of ostracizing him. I didn’t care for that columnist the other day talking about rooting for another team. We must learn to win, lose or draw with what we have. Maybe he, the columnist, needs to move on and root for the team of his choice. But why try to influence others of your ideas? He is entitled to his opinion. Love being the greatest thing we could ever offer anyone, why not show some love to Michael Vick? It wasn’t that long ago that black men were being lynched and no one cared for their life. We love you Michael and are with you. The Rev.
