The Fair Street Tigers State Champion Football Team will be Honored at the August 20, 2009 City of Gainesville School Board Meeting.The Board meets at 508 Oak Street. The time is 7:00 P. M. it would be very special if as many of the team members as possible would attend. We are so proud of our team, here is a footnote: On Friday December 20, 1957 the Fair Street Tigers defeat Thomasville’s Douglas High School Lions {home of Gainesville’s future Mayor Myrtle Figueras} 13-7 for the State Title.

This will be a joint proclamition by the school board and Gainesville and Hall County Governments. If you can, come and support the Tigers.
